Goodwood Woodland Scented Luxury Candle
To create luxury candles inspired by the natural abundance of the 11,000 acre Goodwood Estate, the Duchess of Richmond collaborated with master chandler Rachel Vosper, to design two unique fragrances: White Flowers and Woodland.
Woodland is an ode to the arboreal splendour of the estate, in particular the majestic cedar trees planted by the third Duke of Richmond in 1761.
Fruity top notes of Peach, Red Fruit and Sweet Raisin provide sweetness, without being overwhelming, making this the perfect candle to use when entertaining. “If scents intermingle and intertwine with food or tea at some point, it won’t affect people’s palates,” explains Vosper.
Warm and welcoming, Woodland has been designed to evokes the sensation of coming in from the outside, “Especially in the autumn, winter months, when you get those strong woody fragrances that connect you with a feeling of nature, but it’s inviting and uplifting at the same time,” says Vosper.
Handmade in the UK, each Goodwood candle is poured in a classic, clear glass tumbler, and presented in an elegant green and white box that takes its design cues from the heraldic patterning of the Richmond family crest.
